Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Problem Atlas ("the Service"), operated by Problem Atlas ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Problem Atlas is a market intelligence platform that discovers, scores, and analyzes real-world problems from public online sources. We provide AI-generated solution blueprints, domain analytics, and collaboration tools for builders and investors.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your credentials, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

Problem Atlas offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price changes take effect on their account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the Service beyond what is provided through our API
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or harmful content
• Submit links that are deceptive, malicious, or direct users to phishing, malware, or illegal content
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without written permission

6. Intellectual Property

The Problem Atlas name, logo, and all associated branding (collectively, "Brand Assets") are trademarks of Problem Atlas. You may not copy, imitate, or use the Brand Assets without our prior written consent. Unauthorized use of the Brand Assets may violate trademark, copyright, and other applicable laws.

All content generated by Problem Atlas (including problem analyses, scores, solution blueprints, and market intelligence) is owned by Problem Atlas. You may use this content for your own business decisions but may not republish, resell, or redistribute it in bulk without written permission.

Content you submit (solutions, messages, feedback) remains yours, but you grant us a non-exclusive license to display, store, and process it as part of the Service.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Problem Atlas uses artificial intelligence to analyze problems, generate scores, and create solution blueprints. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and should not be construed as professional, financial, legal, or investment advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated analyses. You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on information provided by the Service.

8. Data Sources

Problem Atlas aggregates publicly available information from various online sources. We do not claim ownership of the underlying source content. Problem descriptions and analyses are transformative works derived from public data.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Problem Atlas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination & Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.

Severe or intentional violations — including fraud, malware distribution, or phishing — may result in immediate termination without notice. We reserve the right to report such activity to the relevant authorities and pursue legal action to recover damages.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
